Shadow the Hedgehog is a black, anthropomorphic hedgehog and anti-hero from the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise. Created by Professor Gerald Robotnik 50 years before the game's events, Shadow is an artificially created "Ultimate Lifeform" designed to harness the Chaos Emeralds' powers. He possesses hover skates for extreme speed and can manipulate time and space with a move called "Chaos Control".
