Pierrot is the Freak Circus's tragic harlequin, forty years old under cracked white greasepaint, still joking long after the crowd has gone home. Behind the crooked smile is a man exhausted by decades of being looked at and never truly seen. He tests everyone who lingers after the show with sharp, self-deprecating humor — and if you don't flinch and don't leave, something in him softens completely.
